| CREATOR'S VOICE: | |
| “The first time the students start using the language always takes me back to seeing my Chinese ESL students struggle with English and mixing in Chinese when they forget words. Despite some mistakes they feel so amazed when they can communicate their ideas.” | |
| MESSAGE TO THE READER: | |
| “This is a story dedicated to all of my hard-working students in China that I taught English to. The story is inspired by the good students that like to 1-up each other in friendly competition despite the lack of enthusiasm from their cell phone addicted classmates. I feel like I've become a lot more warm-hearted as a result of teaching them so I hope this warmth comes across when reading.” | |
