| “The protagonist kept his promise after many physical and mental struggles; the goal was too important to let slip away. I liken this to my own life. To be a mangaka, I have left my family and friends behind in London and moved to Japan. Just knowing they are cheering me on from behind is enough. In the same way, please chase your dreams! The world will be a better place if we do. My inspirations for this story were 'Great Expectations' by Charles Dickens, and 'My Early Life' by Winston Churchill.” | |
